CANI Still Offers Summer Heat Relief

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Families who are eligible can still get relief from the summer heat through CANI. Community Action of Northeast Indiana is an organization that helps communities, families, and individuals remove the causes and conditions of poverty. Their Summer Cooling program started June 3, and it runs through the last day of August. The program gets low-income families a $75 credit applied to their electric bill. Households that didn’t receive heating assistance between November 1 of last year and May 31 of this year will be accepted after the 8th of next month.
