FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A press conference will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday to announce Tools for School.

Tools for School is a Salvation Army program that aims to provide Allen County families with essential school supplies for their children.

The program also allows community members to pitch-in and care for others with the donation of supplies.

The Salvation Army has been able to supply more than 1,000 children with back-to-school tools so far.

The conference will be held at the Salvation Army, 2901 N. Clinton St.
