Contaminated Ding Dongs

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Hostess has recalled some of its iconic Ding Dong snack cakes because they may contain mold.

The Ding Dongs were distributed across the US and are in the 2, 10 and 16 count size with best by dates ranging from August 30 to September 3.

If you have any of the potentially contaminated Ding Dongs – return them to the store or throw them out.

Company officials say that malfunctioning equipment may have created conditions for mold formation.

No illnesses have been reported.
