Convicted Child Killer Out of Prison After Latest Sentences

GARY, Ind. (AP) _ A northern Indiana man once convicted of killing two young siblings has been released from prison after serving his latest sentences for crimes against children.

The Lake County Sheriff's Department tells WLS-TV  that Richard Dobeski is in Gary and will list a homeless shelter as his address. Dobeski has 10 days to register as a sex offender or will be sought for arrest.

The 67-year-old Richard Dobeski was released from prison July 16 after serving more than seven years on 2008 convictions for molesting a 7-year-old boy and possessing child pornography.

Dobeski was released from prison in 2003 after serving nearly half of a 40-year sentence for the murders of 6- and 3-year-old siblings in the LaPorte County community of Long Beach. Credit for good behavior reduced the sentence.
