ELKHART, Ind. (AP) _ Authorities in northern Indiana say an Elkhart man has died after a fireworks accident.
 
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department says 44-year-old Jose Magallanes was found dead late Sunday morning when officers responded to a report from neighbors who said they heard a loud boom.
 
James Elliott is public information officers with the Elkhart County Coroner's Office. He says Magallanes had explosion injuries from a fireworks incident. The coroner ruled Magallanes' death an accident caused by blunt force trauma to the head.
