Federal Judge Blocks New Chemical Abortion Law

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): A federal judge is blocking new limits state lawmakers placed on a Lafayette Planned Parenthood clinic earlier this year. Republican lawmakers passed a set of rules earlier this year mandating that clinics which perform drug-induced abortions meet the same standards as those that perform surgical abortions. But U.S. District Court Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson blocked the start of the new law Tuesday while she considers a challenge filed by the ACLU of Indiana.
