FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A Fort Wayne man pleaded guilty to felony murder Friday after fatally shooting a man at a Meijer gas station in 2017.

Victor M. Rivera III fatally shot Jacob Walerko, 25, at the gas station on Thanksgiving in 2017.

Our partners in news at ABC 21 report Rivera entered a guilty plea Friday for one count of felony murder. He was also facing charges for murder and robbery causing serious bodily injury, but they were dropped as part of the guilty plea.

During Rivera’s first court appearance in July 2018, he was kicked out of the courtroom after he got into an argument with the judge. The following month, he was kicked out again for spitting on his attorney.
