FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man has been sentenced to a combined 81 years in prison for two separate crimes, including murder.

45-year-old Scott Jordan got a 65-year sentence Tuesday for the strangulation murder of Jacqueline Vanduyn. Her body was found in a trash bag in her Decatur Road apartment last April.

In addition to that, the News Sentinel reports he also received a 16-year sentence for robbing a Fort Wayne Walgreens pharmacy, also in April, which seems to be unrelated. He pleaded guilty to both charges last month in a deal that dismissed charges of altering the scene of a death.

The Allen County Prosecutor’s Office says Jordan was in constant trouble with the law, with more than two dozen convictions – most of them felonies – dating as far back as 1990.
