Fort Wayne passed over for F-35 jets

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The 122nd Fighter Wing in Fort Wayne will not be receiving new F-35 fighter jets from the US Air Force.

The Air Force made the announcement Wednesday that possible bases to fly the new planes are in Alabama, Idaho, Florida, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

Senator Joe Donnelly identified Fort Wayne as a finalist for the jets back in April.
