FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Headwaters Park in Fort Wayne will be busy this week.

Germanfest is a week-long celebration of eating, drinking, and enjoying German heritage that kicks off Wednesday. Bob Anweiler of Germanfest tells WOWO News they’re expecting about 50,000 people to turn up for the four-day event.

“On the first day we’ve got the grand opening, we’ll have all of the German favorites for lunch, and we’ll have dancing, music, and of course the annual wiener dog races.”

Admission is $2 from 2pm to 5pm, then $5 afterwards. Military personnel get in for free.
