Gun Sales Spike After College Shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The tragic shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon has had an impact on gun sales in Allen County…

And it's a positive one, with sales of guns and ammo jumping as much as 50% for many Fort Wayne dealers.

Allen County Sheriff David Galdieux tells our Partners in News at 21Alive that many people are reacting to calls for gun control by feeling the need to exercise their 2nd amendment rights.

Smaller, concealable handguns make up the majority of the spike in sales.
