Judge awards $100,000 judgment to Decatur diner owner

DECATUR, Ind. (WOWO): Justice for the owner of an iconic 50’s diner in Decatur.

The owner of Arnold’s Fabulous 50’s and 60’s Diner sued three people last May after they took more control over the restaurant than they were supposed to.

The three were signed to a management agreement that would give them control of the diner’s inventory, supplies, and menus, but the Journal Gazette reports they instead also claimed the restaurant’s equipment and memorabilia. They also changed the locks and evicted the owner from his own business.

An Allen County judge has awarded the original owner more than $114,000 in damages due to a breach of contract.
