Lansing Michigan Homeless Pods

LANSING, Ind. (WOWO) — In a bid to fight homelessness, Lansing will use small, modular housing pods called ModPods.

Purchased for $640,000 from a nonprofit, the city plans to set up 50 pods by mid-2026, with annual upkeep costing $750,000.

The pods provide safe, lockable shelter, but locals question the high costs and what happens when residents need permanent housing beyond the pods.
