Local Woman Earns Medal At Special Olympics

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A local woman is making an impact at the Special Olympics.

Homestead graduate Alise Hazelette is playing for Team U.S.A. while at the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles. She's already received a silver medal for couples bowling, and hopes to bring home even more for individual bowling.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, the 28 year old says the key to getting a strike is confidence and calmness.

Hazelette was also featured in an ESPN article regarding the Special Olympics.
