Man Dies In Patoka Lake Accident

ORANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO):  A man in Patoka Lake has died after a swimming accident.

Divers were called to Patoka Lake in Orange County looking for 43 year old Anthony Catt of Otwell.  Just after 3 p.m. on Saturday, police received a call that they say a man dive into the water from a pontoon boat, but never resurface.  Conservation Officer divers recovered the man around 9 p.m. using sonar and remote operated vehicles.

Officers found him nearly 20 feet underwater, and 200 feet from the shore.  He had an underwater camera with him at the time.  Catt was not wearing a lifejacket at the time of the incident, and alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
