FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man threatening suicide that held police at an AutoZone for hours is being held at the Allen County Jail.

As reported on Monday, September 28th, a man and woman were caught shoplifting at the Southtown Center Walmart. The woman was caught, but the man climbed to the top of a nearby AutoZone and told police he was going to shoot himself.

Hours of negotiations ended with “less than lethal” ammo used to subdue the suspect, now identified as 26 year old Matthew Calvin Morris.

Fort Wayne Police now say that Morris is being remanded to the Allen County Jail and is presently being held on a fugitive warrant out of the state of Louisiana.
