Michigan Legislature Mess

MI, (WOWO) — Michigan’s Legislature is stuck in gridlock – with over 1,300 bills introduced this year, only 12 have become law.

That includes bipartisan measures like school phone bans and transparency reforms.

A major public records bill passed the Senate back in January but still hasn’t moved in the GOP-led House.

With just weeks left to finalize a state budget before an October 1 deadline, lawmakers are pointing fingers – and progress is at a standstill.
