Motive Uncertain for Newlywed Murder-Suicide

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) _ Investigators say they don't know what sparked an argument leading to the apparent murder-suicide of a Terre Haute couple just hours after their wedding.

Vigo County Sheriff Greg Ewing says detectives have been talking with those who attended the wedding and reception for 50-year-old Kelly Ecker Samson and 54-year-old George Samson but haven't determined what caused their dispute.

Ewing tells the Tribune-Star that a small after-party was held at the couple's home after a reception Saturday night at a Terre Haute banquet center. Some guests told investigators the couple wasn't talking with each other but Kelly Samson declined to leave the house.</div>

Police say George Samson shot his wife several times early Sunday after wedding guests left and then fatally shot himself.
