Multiple Charges For Man Who Led Police on Chase in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man that had a warrant for his arrest was responsible for a wild police chase earlier this week.

Tuesday afternoon, 26 year old Cedrick Carter led police from the Meijer on Maysville Road, sideswiping cars along the way down East State Boulevard, and ending with a wreck at the intersection of East State and Coliseum. 

Carter is charged with one count of resisting law enforcement and 8 counts of criminal recklessness while armed with a deadly weapon. He's also facing 5 misdemeanor counts of leaving the scene of an accident as well as 6 counts of criminal mischief.

Carter was wanted for a parole violation and also was accused of shoplifting. 

According to the Journal-Gazette, a passenger was knocked unconscious for a while and is recovering from a brain bleed. The other passenger's injuries, if any, are unknown.
