FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): North American Cold Storage is breaking ground for its new location on Roemer Drive in Woodburn. The 96,000-square-foot facility will be the tallest cold storage facility in the area, which officials with Greater Fort Wayne Inc. say will allow for more efficiencies in managing large numbers of stock keeping units with a more accurate and timely deployment. A release sent by Greater Fort Wayne Inc. says North American Cold Storage will invest over $28 million into the new facility over the next several years and add 75 new jobs. The company is expected to have the first of two phases done by October of next year.
