Officials investigate small plane crash in Wells County

WELLS COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Officials are investigating a plane crash that happened in Wells County last night.

Our partners in news at 21Alive report that a small plane crashed near Miller Airport, close to Bluffton, shortly after 9pm. Apparently the plane was trying to land there when it crashed in a cornfield.

Bluffton police say at least two people were hurt, with one of them airlifted to a hospital in Fort Wayne for treatment. Their conditions have not yet been released.

WANE-TV reports that the Federal Aviation Administration is expected to take over the crash’s investigation.
