Ohio Labor Day Fatalities Up

OHIO, (WOWO) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 23 people died in crashes over the Labor Day weekend-up from 18 last year.

At least four involved impaired driving, with nearly 400 DUI arrests made.

Troopers issued over 1,800 seat belt citations and responded to nearly 500 crashes statewide.

Seven of those killed weren’t wearing seat belts.

Officials urge drivers to stay alert, buckle up, and report dangerous driving by calling #677.
