Ohio Medical Debt Bill

OHIO, (WOWO) — Ohio lawmakers are considering a bill that would stop medical debt from appearing on credit reports.

It would also cap interest at 3% and ban wage garnishment for collections.

Supporters say medical debt is often unexpected and shouldn’t hurt credit scores.

Opponents say it may conflict with federal law.
