The Fort Wayne Police responded to reports of a shooting around 9:45 am in the area of 1400 E. Lewis St. on Tuesday, Jan. 14th, 2025.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was rendered aid by the FWPD, until TRAA arrived and took over care.
TRAA pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
A suspect is in custody.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the shooting are actively being pieced together by Homicide detectives.
This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Coroner’s Office.
