FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A man is dead following a shooting early Sunday morning in Fort Wayne.

Police were called to Weisser Park Avenue and East Pontiac Street around 2:16 a.m., where officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

They provided aid before he was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Investigators say the shooting happened within a block of another shooting Saturday morning, but they do not currently believe the incidents are connected.
