One hospitalized after early morning fire in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Thirty-nine people were inside a building when it caught on fire in Fort Wayne on Sunday morning.

At about 4 a.m., crews arrived to Arbors of South Towne Square apartments in the 7900 block of Decatur Road, according to the Fort Wayne Department.

The fire started in the first floor of the three-floor building and crews were able to get the fire under control in about seven minutes.

One person was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

There was moderate damage done to the apartment building and the fire is still under investigation.
