Operators of Takeover Schools Worry About Funding

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Private companies hired to run five Indiana schools taken over by the state for poor performance say concerns about funding could derail their work. The companies received federal School Improvement Grants when they stepped in to run four Indianapolis schools and one in Gary. But the schools won’t know until July whether they will receive the grants again because the grants have been delayed two months.
