FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A number of people who signed a petition supporting the annexation of their neighborhood into the Fort Wayne City Limits now say they were duped.
A handful of residents from the La Cabreah neighborhood spoke during a public hearing last night, saying the petition they signed in May lied to them.

The Journal Gazette reports the neighbors say they were told their emergency services response time would be better, and property taxes would stay the same. Now, however, they say they’ve learned their taxes would go up, and emergency service response times would stay the same.
The City Council will consider the annexation in October.
