Recall issued for Jimmy Dean Sausage

Recall

INDIANAPOLIS — The Jimmy Dean sausage you have in your fridge might not be safe to eat.

CTI Foods is recalling 29,000 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat Jimmy Dean sausage because they may contain chunks of metal.

The 23-point-4 ounce pouches of “Heat ‘n Serve Original Sausage Links ” have a use-by date of Jan. 31, 2019.

The USDA says it’s gotten five complaints about the sausage.
