FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – On Saturday, June 24, nearly 450 Aspen Dental practices across the country, including in Fort Wayne, will provide free dental care to thousands of veterans.

Some local veterans have already made appointments in advance at a participating office.

There are more than 21 million veterans across the U.S., but fewer than 10 million are enrolled for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health benefits.

For those with the health benefits, many do not include dental care benefits.

The June 24 Day of Service will be Aspen Dental’s fourth annual event, and is the largest single-day oral health initiative targeted at veterans.
