Voter Turnout Was Nearly 50 percent in Northwestern Ohio County

VAN WERT COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – As projected, voter turnout was high in Van Wert County for Tuesday’s general election.

Of the county’s 20,003 registered voters, 9,645 (more than 48 percent) cast ballots.

That number comes from the Van Wert County Board of Elections. Of those, nearly a third (3,105) were cast early while 6,114 voted on Election Day.

426 ballots were returned by mail.
