WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The Clerk of the Whitley Circuit Court, located at 101 West Van Buren Street, Room 18 in Columbia City, Indiana, has issued an official notice detailing designated voting locations for Whitley County’s upcoming primary election, scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Polls will be open continuously from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., with the Board of Commissioners confirming a broad range of precinct sites to serve voters across the county.
In the Cleveland precincts, including Cleveland Northeast, Cleveland Northwest, and Cleveland South, voting will take place at South Whitley Community Church, located at 6685 West State Road 14 in South Whitley.
For Columbia precincts—spanning Columbia Northeast, Columbia Northwest, Columbia South, Columbia 1, Columbia 7, Columbia 2, Columbia 3, Columbia 4, Columbia 5, Columbia 6, and Union Columbia City—multiple locations have been designated. These include First Church of God at 1200 DePoy Drive, St. Paul’s Catholic Church Community Center at 315 South Line Street, the Whitley County Government Center at 220 West Van Buren Street, the Church of the Nazarene at 506 North Main Street, and Grace Lutheran Church at 204 North Main Street, all within Columbia City.
In Etna Troy Township, voters will report to Troy Presbyterian Church at 6465 West Lincolnway, while Jefferson East and Jefferson West precincts will vote at Saturn Christian Church, located at 6731 East 800 South. Richland North and Richland South precincts are assigned to New Hope Wesleyan Church at 971 North 400 West. In Smith Township, covering Smith East, Smith Northeast, and Smith South, voting will be held at the Boy Scout Building at 501 North John Kreiger Drive in Churubusco, while Smith Northwest and Smith West precincts will use the Smith Township Fire Station at 805 North John Kreiger Drive.
Thorncreek Township locations include the Thorncreek Township Fire Station at 821 East 500 North, serving Thorncreek North, Thorncreek Northeast, and Thorncreek Northwest precincts, while Thorncreek South voters will cast ballots at the Connexion Center, located at 788 West Connexion Way in Columbia City, a site noted as a temporary change. Union East and Union West precincts are assigned to Northeastern REMC at 4901 East Park 30 Drive, and voters in Washington North and Washington South precincts will report to the Washington Township Community Center at 7893 South Washington Road.
Additionally, officials emphasized that early voting will begin on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Whitley County Courthouse and will continue through noon on Monday, May 4, 2026.
