Special Olympics Indiana Holds Fort Wayne Polar Plunge

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Special Olympics Indiana held its annual Fort Wayne Polar Plunge on Saturday in the freezing temperatures. 

Participants joined together at Metea County Park Saturday morning for the afternoon’s plunge and a celebration at the Nature Center. 

21 Alive News says they celebrated 27 years of the event this year, with each participant raising at least $125 for Special Olympics Indiana

The 2026 Polar Plunge season continues through March 7 with plunges taking place all around the state.
