Angola, Ind. (WOWO): A woman was able to escape a predator who tied her up and assaulted her.
Early on Wednesday morning at 4:30 a.m., the Steuben County Sheriff's department received a call from Cameron Memorial Hospital that a woman was assaulted at a house near County Road 300 North and County Road 100 East. The victim was said to be bound before being assaulted. The suspect was 54 year old Frank E. Stetler of Angola, who turned himself into the Sheriff's office.
Stetler was booked on one count of rape, a level 1 felony, one count of criminal confinement, a level 3 felony, and one count of strangulation, a level 6 felony. He's currently being held without bond at the Steuben County Jail.
