MICHIGAN, (WOWO) — A new cross-state train route could soon link Detroit to Holland, with stops in Grand Rapids and East Lansing.

Bridge Michigan reports that MDOT says a full route study will kick off in spring 2026, but questions remain – like which cities to include and how to pay for it.

Supporters say the line could reduce traffic and spur economic growth along the corridor.
