Some of the people who live in the city of Angola are concerned that a strip club will be opening up in their home town. The old Sliders Bar and Grill, which is empty right now, has been purchased by Alva Butler…the same person who owns the Showgirl Clubs here in Fort Wayne. Angola’s common council passed a 20 page ordinance that would regulate such establishments. The city’s attorney says they can’t stop a business from opening, but they can regulate things like employee background checks and the employee/customer no touch rule.
