Two People Injured in Wabash County Crash

LAFONTAINE, Ind (WOWO): Saturday afternoon, just before 1:00 p.m., 62-year-old Tyrus Faust was driving his truck westbound on Wabash County Road 1050 South when he pulled out in front of 32-year-old Dustin Hurst.

The crash impact caused Faust, who was not wearing a seatbelt, to be partially ejected through the passenger’s side window.

Faust was taken to the hospital with a life threatening head injury. 37-year-old Rachel Hurst, a passenger with Dustin Hurst, sustained lacerations and cuts.

An investigation by Indiana State police and the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department shows that Faust allegedly failed to stop for a sign at the intersection of State Road 15 and pulled into the path of Hurst.
