Wabash City Police Investigating Bank Robbery

WABASH, Ind. (WOWO): Police continue investigating a bank robbery that happened in Wabash. According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, the Wabash City Police Department received a phone call Wednesday morning, about a man demanding money at the First Merchants Bank in Wabash.

The suspect entered the bank wearing grey Ivy Tech sweatpants, sunglasses, black gloves and a red sweatshirt. He had one hand in his pocket, suggesting he had a weapon, but he never actually displayed one.

The suspect left the bank around 10:21 a.m., and ditched his sweatshirt nearby.

Police believe he had a vehicle parked in the area.

In the meantime, Wabash Police are asking anyone with information to please contact the Wabash City Police Department.
