CASS COUNTY, Mich. (WOWO) — A man in Cass County, Michigan is facing up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to stealing a 50-year-old walnut tree worth over $1,000.

Trevor Wallace was caught after a tow cable snapped and his getaway vehicle was caught on trail camera.

WSBT reports that he has a long rap sheet – including home invasions.

Prosecutors say this wasn’t spur-of-the-moment – it took planning. Wallace is set to be sentenced October 10th.
